This image corresponds to Figure 9-24 in the book. The grayscale images in the book make it a bit difficult to visualize the results from the various color tools. This image shows the results of running GIMP’s Color Enhance function on an image with low contrast. The results with this particular image a somewhat garish, but it should get the point across. With clever masking, this function is quite useful for making colors in an image more radiant. With the image file listed below, you can re-create these results as well as other the color adjustments covered in Chapter 9.
